Like the last embers of a fire smoldering

Like incense

Nag Champa, Jasmine, Cool smoke

Red-violet like the tie-dye colors of a silk scarf

 waving in the wind

Indigo like a nebula in deep space

Spring pink, shocking pink, Fuchsia 

Red-violet like making love

Blood pumping, blue veins

Heated breath

Hearts rhymically drumming

A scented candle burning all night

into the early dawn

A hint of red

Lavender like the scent of Lilacs in spring

Blue like the many moods of the sea

Yellow like the center of a Tiffany rose

Red shining like the facets of a ruby

Lavender blue like the dawn in a winter sky

Yellow like a sunny day in May

Red like a passionate lover

Lavender blue like a sunset with black tree silhouettes

A flourish of yellow paint here and there

Red deepening to violet on the horizon

Lavender like a Lily closing at twilight
